VC Phase II Clonetrooper (Andor) Review

Image
My 325th Blog Post!  I will admit to being lazy lately. Yes, I have been doing a lot of Clones lately. Boba Fett, Hunter and now the Phase II Clonetrooper. It's a slow time for the Vintage Collection, and in this current slow time, I may as well review what I can. So is this the best Clonetrooper figure? Yes, however there are a couple things that need some improvement. And also there are Phase I Clonetroopers coming in 2024. The Phase II Clonetroopers were the clones you saw in Revenge of the Sith, and in the Andor flashbacks (which is where this figure is from), while the Phase I Clonetroopers were seen in Attack of the Clones, both phases were in the Clone Wars series. The Phase II Clonetrooper sports the typical 17 POA that most of the current Vintage Collection figures have. The new barbell hips give this figure a better range of articulation than the Imperial Stormtrooper figure. No joints are tight, and move quite well. He can achieve a lot of action poses, some of which I

VC Hunter Review

The Bad Batch isn't the best Star Wars animated series, but as a fan of the A Team, it's interesting to see how that concept plays out in the Star Wars universe. But while the Black Series and Mission Fleet have the entire Clone Force 99 made, the Vintage Collection, sadly, doesn't. But the team leader, Hunter is finally in the Vintage Collection, and it's well worth the wait! Recently, Hasbro announced a new Clonetrooper buck (Phase II Clonetrooper review coming soon), and Hunter is made from that buck, with a few differences. The first is he has a knife sheath on his left forearm, and a hole in his back to fit his backpack. He has 17 POA and utilizes the new barbell hips. He has excellent articulation and has no trouble moving. No stiff joints at all. Hunter is shown in his 1st season look, and this figure does an excellent job in capturing that. Sadly, the figure doesn't have great balance, mainly due to the backpack. But there are no peg holes on the feet so i

What Hasbro Needs To Do For The Ghost

The Vintage Collection is now 3 for 3 on HasLabs as The Ghost not only fully funded but also met all 3 tiers, so Hera, Ezra, Kanan and Zeb will be coming with it, for those who backed it. Hasbro also announced that Sabine and Chopper will be offered on Mural style cards as seen in the Rebels series finale and on the Ahsoka series before Sabine left to find Ezra alongside Ahsoka. But, as Hasbro made efforts to get figures for Jabba's Sail Barge and the Razor Crest, The Ghost needs more figures to interact with, some of them could be simple repaints for Hasbro, while others need to be all new or kitbashed. This time, I'm asking for figures in the preferred order. 1. Agent Kallus (Empire). Before he defected to the Rebels, Kallus was a thorn in the side of The Ghost's crew. He will need his modified Lasat bo-rifle and a removable or swappable helmeted head. The Moff Gideon figure would be a perfect figure to use to make Imperial Agent Kallus. 2. Captain Rex. Old man Rex is

Happy Sunday!  My original plan was to do my review of the Vintage Collection Hunter figure from The Bad Batch, but honestly I'm tired. Busy week at work, plus a late night last night have left me drained. On the plus side I get more time to take some photos during the week, but also time to work on other things I have going on Blog wise, like an upcoming take on how disappointed I am in the current state of Star Wars comics, and why one upcoming High Republic Phase 3 comic series is one I'm actually looking forward to.  Also I'm looking for a better banner photo on my blog, and possibly changing how it looks, a dark screen with bright letters may make it more visually appealing, a new banner photo definitely will, just need to find one I can use.  Also the NFL kicks off their regular season today, and the only teams I hope win are the Bengals and Saints, and that there are no serious injuries. In the meantime I'll post a few random Star Wars Memes below!  My 15 credit

Hasbro Ahsoka Livestream Reveals

Image
On Tuesday Hasbro did a live stream debuting new items for the Retro Collection (which I will not cover), the Black Series and Vintage Collection. I'll briefly go over the reveals for the Black Series and VC, but it's the VC pipeline reveals that really got me excited! And a quick explanation as to why I won't cover the Retro Collection: they take away from the Black Series and Vintage Collection. BLACK SERIES Admittedly, most collectors knew these figures were coming as an eBay seller showed the wave off last week. Ezra Bridger from Rebels Season 4, Chopper will also be repacked (Ezra and Chopper are 2 per case) along with Morgan Elsbeth, Professor Huyang, HK-87, Sabine Wren from Ahsoka, Ahsoka Tano, and Marrok from Ahsoka (the guy who looks like an Inquisitor). A role playing item was also introduced: Sabine Wren's helmet. Marrok was a new reveal, and no reveals yet of Ahsoka villains Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. Those will likely be revealed at Hasbro's Pulse C

VC Kenner Colors Boba Fett (Target Exclusive)

Image
With Target getting several Boba Fett exclusives from the old Marvel and Dark Horse comics, I had hoped to find these in stores as Target had actually been able to get their retail exclusives on racks. You just can never preorder on their site as they sell out. There were 3 Boba's: the classic Marvel colors from ESB, the Dark Horse colors from Twin Engines of Destruction when Boba takes on Jodo Kast, a bounty hunter who uses Mandalorian armor and Boba's name to make credits, and the Kenner color version of Boba Fett on a Star Wars card, which was the one I wanted. So one day at Target, I got lucky and found a couple, as they had 6 Kenner color Boba's on the rack. This is a re-use of the VC 186. It isn't hard to move him into action style poses. He has the standard 17 POA as the other recent Boba's and that has become the new standard articulation points for the VC. The only tricky thing is getting him to hold his blaster rifle, but once you figure out a way to fit
