Hasbro Ahsoka Livestream Reveals

 On Tuesday Hasbro did a live stream debuting new items for the Retro Collection (which I will not cover), the Black Series and Vintage Collection. I'll briefly go over the reveals for the Black Series and VC, but it's the VC pipeline reveals that really got me excited! And a quick explanation as to why I won't cover the Retro Collection: they take away from the Black Series and Vintage Collection.

BLACK SERIES

Admittedly, most collectors knew these figures were coming as an eBay seller showed the wave off last week. Ezra Bridger from Rebels Season 4, Chopper will also be repacked (Ezra and Chopper are 2 per case) along with Morgan Elsbeth, Professor Huyang, HK-87, Sabine Wren from Ahsoka, Ahsoka Tano, and Marrok from Ahsoka (the guy who looks like an Inquisitor). A role playing item was also introduced: Sabine Wren's helmet. Marrok was a new reveal, and no reveals yet of Ahsoka villains Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati. Those will likely be revealed at Hasbro's Pulse Con later this month. All of these figures are mainline releases, no retail exclusives

PIPELINE REVEALS

Someone at Hasbro had one job...and didn't do it! Momaw Nadon, aka Hammerhead and R5-D4 with Pit Droids. Check out the missed spelling in the photo below:



VINTAGE COLLECTION

Not many VC reveals, but the pipeline has plenty and I'll go into them in a little bit. But HK-87, Morgan Elsbeth and Hera Syndulla (from Ahsoka) which is numbered as VC 300. An update to the Ghost HasLab was also revealed: if it gets to the Zeb Tier, Hasbro will make Sabine and Chopper mural style carded figures to be sold separately at a future date. In the photos below, you can see the reveals, they look decent, but just not a lot.



VC Pipeline Reveals

Now THIS is what I am most excited about! Spelling errors on Piolet Luke aside, I'll run down what I'm excited about:

1. ANH Leia. On the collecting sites, #makethemains has been commonly used in regards to making not only the main characters from ANH, but that they also be new sculpts, and mains from ALL movies get this treatment. Hopefully, Leia is an all new sculpt!

2. ANH Darth Vader. With this, I wonder what card image they'll use as VC 93 used the classic Kenner image. But this will be based off the Dark Times/ROTJ version. Expect this to sell out, and if you have the Tantive IV diorama, whoops, Playset you can have Vader order the Stormtroopers to take Leia away (you also get OT era Stormtroopers too, but I'm mentioning it here, not too excited about them since I have enough).

3. Captain Rex. If this is the repack from the Bad Batch 3 pack, I'll be disappointed. Hopefully he's made from the new Clonetrooper buck, but I have a suspicion he isn't. But the last VC Rex was a repack, so I'm hoping this is new. He is supposed to be from The Bad Batch, which is why I sense repack.

4. Deluxe Jango Fett. With the new Bona Fett, and Mandalorian sculpts, this is a figure fans have requested, and his VC 1.0 was a good figure at the time...but doesn't hold up with the newer figures. My best guess is he'll come with a swappable unmasked head, a poncho and flame effects. Maybe some blade accessories too.

5. Jedi Revan & HK-47 2 pack. As with the Black Series, Revan gets the Jedi treatment! But this time in a 2 pack. I have no idea if HK-47 is a re-use of the HK-87 buck, but I hope to see this soon, possibly at Hasbro's Pulse Con perhaps?! We have yet to see the Obi-Wan and Battle Damged Vader 2 pack either. But expect this to sell out fast when it's time to preorder.
