VC Top 25 in 2025: Number 6

Back to a normal pace until Sunday.

MY 6TH RANKED FIGURE:

VC   KANAN JARRUS

WHY I LIKE THIS FIGURE:

To be honest, when I ordered The Ghost HasLab I had intended to open the included figures. But once Hasbro announced this version of Kanan would be coming into the line, I reconsidered doing that. Kanan was my best figure of 2024, and with good reason. The sculpt, articulation, he's a great figure! Besides, I wanted a pre-blinded version of this figure anyway. I still believe the HasLab versions of the Ghost crew will inevitably get standard Rebels cards, so doing a head swap with blind Kanan could still be a possibility.

INTERESTING FACT: I almost considered adding HasLab Kanan votes to Kanan's totals in the Collector's Choice, but that would have meant some of my choices would be invalid, so I opted not to do that. Had I done this, Kanan would have been tied for 2nd place in the Collector's Choice.

WHY HE'S RANKED 6th:

Excellent figure, but for my top spots I went with popularity as a character and figure for my selections. While I'm glad this is a realistic version of Kanan, had an animated version been made back in the day, he would also fit in with the Clone Wars line. Seems a shame that will never happen.

COLLECTOR'S CHOICE 6th RANKED FIGURE:

VC 316 PRINCESS LEIA ORGANA

WHY I THINK COLLECTORS LIKE THIS FIGURE:

Sometimes in life, you think things are worth waiting for, and then when you get it, you're disappointed. In some cases, having something isn't as fun as wanting something. It's a different franchise, but Spock said that to T'Pring (not an entirely accurate quote but a close approximation) as he cleared the path for her to be with Stonn. This Leia figure wasn't the case of that. Waiting 20 years is well worth it, despite the plastic skirt. She may not be Millennium Falcon or detention block specific, but she is great for Yavin, Tantive IV and Death Star command level displays. The card being the same as her 1978 counterpart firmly places her checked off the Original 96 list.

INTERESTING FACT: The Collector's Choice is all Original 96 for the rest of their Countdown.

WHY SHE'S RANKED 6th:

A popular character, a Kenner legacy card and great display options with her accessories, she's a keeper! Whether she's on card or off, she's a great figure, no matter what you choose to do with it display wise. She was well worth the wait, and had the best face sculpt Leia has in the VC.

Thanks for reading!
