VC Top 25 in 2025: Number 20

 MY 20th RANKED VC FIGURE:

VC 26  ENDOR COMMANDO

WHY I LIKE THIS FIGURE: To my knowledge this was the first VC figure that had not only a variant, but no change in the card number. I could be wrong. But Hasbro giving us 2 different figures was at the time something special. No more unofficial Clones, unless you bought more than 2, or found heads that could fit on the neck post. I remembered reading there was a variant of this figure, but I have only seen the bottom photo version in person. And at a very high price. He doesn't have the modern articulation, which is why I think Hasbro is reluctant to offer this in either a repack or part of a white boxed 4 pack. He's got what he needs: helmet, weapon, and trench coat. Plus he checks off the Original 96, and offers a unique troop building experience. And I wish I had them in my collection. The prices for this figure are high on the secondary market.

WHY THE REBEL COMMANDO OVER THE REBEL FLEET TROOPER: It's the variant. Plain and simple. If there were a couple variants of the Rebel Fleet Trooper, he'd be on my list. We wouldn't get that until the 4 pack, so unless you found other heads that could fit, you had Rebel Clones as your Fleet Trooper.

WHY HE'S 20TH: He's a good figure, but he needs a new sculpt. If it isn't financially possible for Hasbro to do it, then a repack would be most welcomed. Troop building is something that's very important to me, and getting a variant without a new number is also a plus. Either way, this figure needs a comeback.

COLLECTOR'S CHOICE 20th RANKED FIGURE:

VC 175 LUKE SKYWALKER

WHY I THINK COLLECTOR'S LIKE THIS FIGURE:

It's the card. Chicks dig the card. No, chicks dig the car. But back on point: the card is the reason why this figure ranks high. As someone who got the Kenner Jedi Luke for Christmas, this card brings back memories, and it's my favorite card. Easily. The figure comes with the same accessories as the 1983 version, and with the correct cloak color from the film. The figure is a slight repaint of the VC Sandstorm Luke, and he has a brand new head sculpt. This Luke came as a SDCC exclusive 3 pack with X-Wing Luke and Stormtrooper Luke.

WHY HE'S RANKED 20th: As a figure, he doesn't hold up compared to other figures that have come out. While Light Cruiser Luke had swivel thighs added to it, this figure doesn't, so the articulation isn't as advanced as many would like it to be. Great card, excellent accessories but as a figure, it doesn't hold up. If I was ranking VC cards, this one would hold my top spot. Plus, he won the coin toss.

Thanks for reading! More to come!
