Clearance Finds/Preorder Arrivals/Top 25 in 2025 Preview

A last moment family trip had me out of town all day Saturday, so no review as I hoped. But, as I alerted the BanthaSkull commentors on last Saturday: Wal-Mart has Vintage Collection figures on clearance for $6. And some recent deluxe Black Series figures priced at $9-$15 depending on the location. So, my total haul without tax was $39. Well, actually it was $55 since Admiral Piett wasn't on clearance.

1. Black Series IG-12

This cost me $9. And I have yet to open this, or the Mandalorian Ahsoka Sixer I recently bought. On the plus side, he comes with 2 Anzellans (same species as Babu Frik from Episode 9) and a Grogu that can actually move his arms. The VC version has a removable chest plate for the mini figures to fit in, and I assume this one does as well. But, no blaster. Still a great deal. The deluxe Paz Vizsla is also on clearance for the same price.

2. Vintage Collection Haul

This is from 2 different Wal-Mart's. Both within 15 minutes from each other. The only figure I had hoped to find again was Reva since she comes with 2 extra red bladed lightsabers. I was shocked to find extra Stormtroopers since they have vanished, while X-Wing Luke and ANH Vader hasn't. Vader still on racks surprises me, but the Sixer ANH Vader isn't really moving either. I needed a Grand Inquisitor to go to my Prequel Era bin, as that figure has some custom potential as well.

I also managed to get both Mae and Osha for one purpose: head swaps. I might review one, or both at some point in the future. I liked the Mae figure enough to put her in my Best of 2024 list, but I'm starting to like the Osha figure just as much. Plus, Mae can hold the extra lightsabers that come with Reva, if you don't want her to have the knives.

UPDATE: Found a Reva and 2 more Stormtroopers at another Wal-Mart. This time in the middle of nowhere.

Pre-Order Haul

And in the last few weeks these 3 figures have arrived. I have 2 Indara's because I had forgotten I ordered one from Pulse and another from EE. Anakin is an amazing figure, and when I review it you'll learn why. The head sculpt doesn't quite get Hayden Christensen as well as I would like, but it's close enough. Dedra Meero was a figure I almost regretted getting once I saw reviews on BanthaSkull and YouTube, but seeing her in person has made me reconsider as it's a good looking figure in person. But she has man legs. Once I open the figure, I can get a better idea how she looks.

VC TOP 25 IN 2025

This is going to be something I will start after the SWTVC March Madness ends. But there's a catch. I want people to vote for their favorite VC figures as well! I will then post my choice at 25 down to number 1, as well as the Collector's Choice from 25 to number 1. When I do the results I'll make multiple posts for the week, so it won't be a 25 week long process, but could wrap up within a month. Once I have the details on how you can submit choices, and how many you can choose (I'm working on as low as 5, and as high as 10, but leaning towards 10) I'll post it here. The current plan is to have voting up in April, and I'll start the Countdown on May 4th, which falls on a Sunday. Then the final figures will be revealed on May 25th, the real Star Wars Day!

And I hope you left an ice chest full of Steveweisers out last night as today (3:16) is Stone Cold Steve Austin Day!

Thanks for reading! A special thanks to Chris and Nomad at BanthaSkull for allowing me to post this link in the comments section! Please share this link on your social media accounts so I can get more readers.
