2025 SWTVC March Madness

 The 2025 March Madness for the Vintage Collection is in full swing. I got an early jump last year, and why not mess with greatness and do so again for this year?! 1 is the most desired, while 25 is the least desired. Once again, I'll spread things around the various eras of Star Wars. All of these figures should be newly tooled.

1. Mara Jade (Heir To The Empire). We are getting an HTTE 3 pack, Mara makes the most sense to get a release at some point in the near future.

2. C-3PO (ANH). It's time. Make this happen! That way we can  get the one from ESB with removable limbs and the backpack for Chewie to carry. 

3. FX-7. Come on, Hasbro! Make this figure and he better have elbow articulation! None of this half-assed no elbow shit, Hasbro!!!

4. Death Star 2 Luke Skywalker. He needs to have a swappable chest plate with the flap down, as well as his binders. The Sixer version is amazing, and one of the best figures in that scale. This would be welcomed in the VC!

5. Fifth Brother (Rebels). He has a Retro figure from Kenobi, but my S1/S2 Kanan needs someone to duel. With the Ghost now out of the shipping box, I need some villains.

6. Darth Maul (TPM). We need this figure updated before any other version. Spoiler alert, Rebels Maul isn't on this list.

7. Seventh Sister (Rebels). Makes sense to put her here, doesn't it?! Voiced by the real life wife of Kanan (Freddie Prinze Jr), Sarah Michelle Gellar!

8. Arliel Schous. He's going to be in everyone's top 5, and you know my feelings on why in a normal HasLab campaign he would have funded.

9. Baze Malbus. With the Ghost needing figures to interact with, now comes building up the Rogue One crew.

10. Bodhi Rook. Same as above.

11. Tech (Bad Batch). Sense a theme? Hunter is lonely, he needs his squad.

12. Wrecker (Bad Batch)

13. Crosshair (Bad Batch)

14. Echo (Bad Batch)

15. Omega (Bad Batch)

16. Obi-Wan Kenobi (ROTS). He drops due to completing teams/crews. Plus with that incredible looking Anakin/Vader coming soon, that figures needs someone to duel.

17. Padme Amidala-Factory Chase (AOTC). I'll be beating the drum for this figure. Her white outfit could also be put on a Clone Wars card, too. Due to building crews/teams she drops.

18. Lt Connix (Episode 9). I have a feeling the only way we get a proper Endor Leia is if we get an action figure of Carrie Fisher's real life daughter Billie Lourd. My top Disney Trilogy figure.

19. Poe Dameron (Episode 9). The Nathan Drake outfit. Make it happen, Hasbro!

20. Finn (Episode 9). The outfit he wears most of the movie. The only version we have is from the now deceased 5 inch Galaxy of Adventures line.

21. Rey (Episode 8 Throne Room Duel). I hated the movie, but this is the only time that Rey looks like a Jedi.

22. Supreme Leader Kylo Ren (Episode 9). He needs a swappable unmasked head so he can double as Ben Solo. Be sure to pack Leia's lightsaber too.

23. Therm Scissorpunch (Solo). I'm picking him for the name. How cool would it look on a Kenner style card?!

24. Galen Erso (Rogue One). If anything he can also double as Le Chiffre. Or the Star Wars version of Le Chiffre. But Krennic needs someone to threaten. A 3 or 4 pack of scientists/engineers could compliment Galen's release.

25. Guavian Enforcer (Episode 7/Resistance). I want to troop build the Hell out of these guys. If I see a 5 POA one, I'll buy it. Or even a couple of Sixer versions. I like the design, the look, and they'd be a perfect enemy trooper for post ROTJ era displays, stories, or someone's Star Wars Alternate Universe (ahem, mine) stories.

I had hoped to do a picture of my 2025 list, but I'm not that tech savvy. I'll be sharing information on who/when to vote on here. I had hoped to work in Qimir, Rebels Maul, and Dark Empire young Palpy, Luke and Leia but the need to build out Rogue One and Bad Batch crews took priority. Which is the big drawback for the VC: the Black Series has those 2 crews out, and multiple looks for the Bad Batch. Meanwhile my Hunter figure is in storage. It's also one reason why I'm not getting the VC Jude Law figure: no one to interact with. 

Next Sunday I hope to have some pictures of The Ghost ready. Amazon has delayed my ANH Luke, and the Peridea Ahsoka and live action Thrawn are disappointing figures. Of course it means I also have to take down my BB-8 Playset as I plan on displaying The Ghost on that table. I'll be taking my time on the review, so it will be in several phases, and not all at once. So I'll spread my reviews around a bit, one week a Ghost review, the other some other figure or even a short story. 

I found a couple old figures yesterday. The POTF2 Pote Snitken, who will drive my Desert Skiff, and Power Of The Jedi Ellors Madak, who will be part of my Cantina display. No pictures as I'm moving stuff around, but I hope to take some very shortly.
