Star Wars 50th Anniversary VC Wish List

 Yes, this is 3 years away, but with 18-24 months to plan a wave of action figures, the perfect time to make a wish list for the 50th anniversary of Star Wars is right now!! The good news is, most ANH Mains will already be done at this time. That doesn't mean they're exempt from my wish list. There are a fee things I'd like to see get repacked as well, but this will be mostly new figures, vehicles and playsets. I have 4 categories: basic figures, deluxe figures/Multipacks,  vehicles and playsets.

BASIC FIGURES

1. Wedge Antilles. While many would be happy with Biggs Darklighter, I prefer Wedge since he not only survives, but could legitimately get a new X-Wing fighter.

2. Greedo on original Kenner card. Greedo is coming with the Cantina but on an alternate card. Enough time should have passed for Hasbro to now issue him on his original Kenner card.

3. Grand Moff Tarkin. His original VC figure blows chunks. The new officer buck is perfect for him now, if he hasn't already been put out on a Rogue One card. If he has, this should be a fan channel exclusive.

4. TIE Pilot. He can be newly tooled or kitbashed, but he is in bad need of an update. I was high on this figure a few years ago, and he can fit well in the fighter, but this is a must, since he wasn't originally on a Star Wars card. But he should have been.

5. General Dodonna. He would likely be a Fan Channel offering, and I'd be okay if he used the Rebel Trooper buck. He should come with Han & Luke's medals.

6. Yavin Ceremony Leia. I'd like to see this figure get scaled to the current ANH Leia. Or repack the one from before with a photo real head sculpt..


7. Tosche Station Biggs Darklighter. We got him for the 30th Anniversary line, but one made to current VC standards is needed. Plus he'll go well with one of my deluxe figures. I believe he'll get a figure in his X-Wing uniform too before then.


DELUXE FIGURES/MULTIPACKS

1. Farmboy Luke Skywalker. For a true Farmboy Luke, he needs his floppy hat and poncho, binoculars and a moisture vaparator to work on. This is from a deleted scene and would work well with the standard release Biggs, and a multipack to come later.

2. Sandtrooper 4 pack. Enough said. Need them for the Cantina and the Docking Bay 94 showdown. In the classic Kenner "Special" box.

3. Darth Vader vs Ben Kenobi 2 Pack. Easy money for Hasbro, and a chance for alternate card images showing their duel.

4. Camie & Fixer 2 Pack. To not only fill out the deleted scene, but also to fill out BOBF or The Mandalorian when they appeared in one of those shows.

5. Droids 3 Pack. Threepio, Artoo and R5-D4, in that classic Kenner "Special" box.

6. Hero 3 Pack. Han, Luke, and Leia. In the classic Kenner style box.

7. Alien 3 Pack: Chewie, Greedo, Hammerhead. Make it happen!

8. Enemy 3 pack. Imperial Officer in black uniform, Imperial Security Officer and Death Star Commander.

9. Stormtrooper Han & Stormtrooper Luke 2 pack. Use the Stormtrooper buck for Han, make some improvements to the current Stormtrooper Luke. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. It's easy money for Hasbro.


VEHICLES AND PLAYSETS

1. Millennium Falcon. I'm okay with a repack, and even if they include Han & Chewie, Leia & Luke to recreate the Death Star escape. Han & Luke should still have their Stormtrooper belts on.

2. Luke Skywalker's X-Wing. It's time for an all newly tooled X-Wing, and Luke is the hero  so he needs his ship. R2 needs to fit in the droid socket, and a storage area for his ladder, and other weapons needs to be added there as well. Don't make the wings and laser cannons floppy, and if they can add some proton torpedoes to fire that would be a bonus.

3. Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. Again, this needs to be all new. While the POTF2 version holds up decently, it needs a modern update. Plus by making this they could possibly make the Inquisitors fighters as well.

4. Luke's Landspeeder. Repack. It's fine the way it is.

5. TIE Fighter. This needs to be updated, and the wings need to be sturdier. Including a display stand is a must, as I need one for mine. If they can get it close to how it appeared in the movie that would be preferable. Or if they make it similar to the one from Solo, without the break apart feature, I'd be happy. I can't speak for other collectors.

PLAYSETS

1. Lars Homestead. The dining room, with Owen and Beru Lars. Could be used again for a AOTC 3 pack with young Owen, Beru & Cliegg Lars.

2. Death Star Briefing Room. This could be a situation where figures are deluxe and come with sections to build the table. Or, just offer the table, chairs, and include General Tagge, Wulf Yularen and Admiral Motti. Sell a multipack for the other people in the room. This could be a Jabba's, whoops, Boba Fett's Palace style Hasbro Pulse exclusive.

3. Detention Block Rescue. The hallway where Luke, Leia, Han & Chewie hold off Stormtrooper long enough to temporarily escape. It needs to be 2 walled, though, and you shouldn't have to buy 2 to make it complete. Offer a Stormtrooper for the pack in, or better yet  have no pack in at all.

4. Lightsaber Duel Area. Where Vader and Obi-Wan duel. The perfect accessory for the 2 pack listed above. And this beat the Tractor Beam and Computer Room, but barely.

So that's all I have. There are a lot of figures I passed over, because I feel some will be made before 2027. But at the very least, Hasbro: make a new X-Wing for the OT era and Vader's TIE!!! You'd have a lot of happy collectors!
