Last Figure Standing

 There is a new Vintage Collection poll out there, and while it is similar to the VC March Madness Tournament, this new one is different. You can find the link at  Banthaskull.com in the Last Figure Standing article to participate! The rules are simple: list your 10 choices, and label them from movie and scene, or from a Disney Plus show, or video game. So, I'll post my 10 choices here, with an explanation of why I want these particular figures. My list may surprise you with some of my choices, particularly since I'm not a fan of the projects some of my figures come from. All of these figures should be all new sculpts, not sure if that is the contest rule, but it's mine for the sake of this post.

10. Rey (Throne Room Duel, The Last Jedi). I bought a custom figure of this a while back, but in my opinion this is THE definitive Rey. She is as close to being a Jedi, and already having Praetorian Guards and Snoke, it would be nice to have a super articulated version of this figure instead of the 5 POA version which is the only 1:18 scale figure we have so far. 

9. Kylo Ren/Ben Solo (The Rise of Skywalker). Naturally you'd think I would take Kylo from the Throne Room Duel, but Hasbro jumps around a bit, so it would make sense to do the same with this choice. The Kylo Ren version can have swappable gloved and bare hands, as well as the Kylo helmet and unmasked Ben Solo head. He should also come with Kylo's lightsaber, and Leia Organa's to show Ben stepping back into the light.

8. Darth Sidious (The Rise of Skywalker). This would have to be a deluxe figure, as Palpy would need his Ommin Harness, and snap on Force Lightning hands. Along with Ben, there would be a complete scene for the final battle of the Disney Trilogy. The bonus is, this new Palpatine buck could be used to make a new one for Revenge of the Sith.

7. Kyle Katarn (Dark Forces). Hasbro made this version of Kyle in 1998's Expanded Universe wave. His 2009 figure was based off a comic book appearance facing the Yuuzhan Vong, coming with a Vong warrior. But this version of the one I see in my head. He definitely needs a blaster, but could easily come with a lightsaber.

6. Padme Amidala (Attack of the Clones, Factory Chase/Shmi's funeral). I don't want the Arena Battle Padme, but rather one from the Factory Chase, as she gets captured. It's my favorite look for Padme, she needs her blaster and cloak.

5. Dash Rendar (Shadows of the Empire). One of my favorite POTF2 figures, and from a game I have fond memories of, well except for the level after the Hoth asteroid belt. Dash needs his pistol, and modern rifle accessory to honor his first figure. He's been mentioned in Disney Canon, his game is still popular, and he's been a request for YEARS in both the Vintage Collection & Black Series.

4. Hammerhead. I originally had him at the top, but he's due!! I got the Kenner version earlier this year, and it would be nice to have the modern counterpart to go with him. With an Ithorian coming in the Black Series, and the VC using some of those sculpts for upcoming VC figures, this one can be done. He needs a glass, and maybe the Stormtrooper blaster rifle to pay true respects to the Kenner one.

3. Baylan Skoll (Ahsoka). While I feel he will come sooner rather than later, he needs to be made. He needs his lightsaber, and a soft goods skirt. One advantage having the Black Series go first is a chance to change that awful plastic skirt the Sixer version has. I wonder if they could use a new buck here to make a new Kylo Ren? Or maybe use parts from Dark Times Vader? But I want Baylan in the VC. The sooner, the better!

2. Mara Jade (Vision of the Future). The Black Series Mara is based of the comic book adaptation of Dark Force Rising, but she deserved a better figure than the Jaina Solo/Dr Aphra buck. This Mara needs to be from The Vision of the Future cover which depicts her in a green outfit. Her 3.75 inch Black Series figure was supposed to be Jedi Master Mara Jade-Skywalker, and this would be Hasbro FINALLY getting it right. Mara should come with the Skywalker lightsaber, and a small blaster that could be stored on the small of her back like her 3.75 Black Series figure did.

1. Luke Skywalker (Return of the Jedi, Endor Duel). I recently got the Black Series version of this Luke, and it's incredible! I may even review it here since VC products are slow trickles right now. Imagine a fully articulated version of this Luke, with new barbell hips that could do?! It could easily serve as the basis for a Home One Luke, and an improved Mandalorian Luke. Luke needs his lightsaber and a swappable chest plate with the flap down.
