Hasbro Livestream Black Series Reveals & Retro Pipeline Reveals

 Hasbro did a livestream last Wednesday and showed off a surprisingly scant few new reveals for the Black Series, but did add a new role play item which I have to admit looks fun!



The first reveal is a Revenge of the Jedi poster Darth Vader figure which will be the Celebration London exclusive, and I think Hasbro did a good job with the paint apps as this Vader does resemble his poster image quite well.

The Endor Rebel Trooper has a swappable face with a young Trooper and Nik Sant (is he really Captain Rex?!). I like this feature but I am not a fan of putting 6 inch figures on Kenner cards but this is the only chance Sixers have in 2023 of actually seeing what they're buying so I'll give them a pass. For now.




Ki-Adi Mundi, along with Aayla Secura are Prequel era Jedi that just look good in the 6 inch line. There really aren't enough alien Jedi in the line, IMO. This is one figure I definitely want to grab.






Clone Commander Jesse was cool in the VC, here he gets a little more detail in the larger line. Not a bad addition if you like Clones. Picture wouldn't upload. 





The Biker Scout (not pictured) helmet looks AWESOME! Chris from Hasbro had a lot of fun showing it off and I hope he wears it for the fan site Q&A's as this will have a voice change feature, as well as being able to raise the visor as seen onscreen.




Pipeline Reveals

-Ahsoka Clonetrooper Helmet. Just like the Phase II helmet released a while back, this time with Ahsoka's colors on the helmet. 

These 2 I'm very excited about:

-Luke Skywalker with Grogu. From the BOBF, Luke will be in his training outfit and will come likely with Grogu, a backpack and hopefully his and Yoda's lightsaber. I would like the Mythril, whoops, Beskar armor Din Djarin made for Grogu but that's a stretch. Yes this is a deluxe figure.

-Darth Malgus. I nearly leaped hearing about this figure, which will be an all new sculpt (Hasbro will probably borrow some from Darth Vader on this). He will be deluxe because he is quite tall, as his VC figure is compared to the other VC figures not named Chewbacca. Now I have to see how much blood goes for nowadays because this one will be priced HIGH. No word on if he will be exclusive to a retailer, but likely Gamestop, provided they still want in on selling Gaming Greats.



Since Black Series was thin, I'm including the Retro Collection pipeline reveals. The Book of Boba Fett gets Retro love:

6. Jedi Luke (repack of ROTJ Luke or a slight redress? Need to see this)
7. Grogu (with the backpack maybe?)
8. Din Djarin (Why?! If he has the Darksaber have him use Gideon's. There. Saved you $12-$15)

The Choice

 Finally posting this fan fiction! It's my retelling of the Book Of Boba Fett Finale, and instead of the 1st 2 chapters, I'm publishing the 1st 4! 2024 Last Figure Standing

  Once again, Last Figure Standing is back for 2024! The rules are simple, 10 figures in order of preference. And another reminder this is for the Vintage Collection, I don't know if there is anything similar for the Black Series but if there is I'll share it here. Also note this was written in late July, as after SDCC, I have a few changes from last year's list since some of those are being made, but I don't see any changes for when this will start. And I should point out that voting hasn't started yet, but I am simply getting a jump start as I just got the VC Jabba the Hutt yesterday, and don't have time for a review and comparison to the 2010 Legacy Collection Jabba ready to go. Now, not all of these figures will be new sculpts, and of course I have just about all eras of Star Wars represented in this list. 10. Rey (Episode 8 Throne Room Duel).
