VC Migs Mayfield Review

 Did anyone who watched Bill Burr's stand up routines ever think he'd be in a Star Wars project? My first time seeing him was on Chappelle Show in the Samuel Jackson beer commercial (parody photo in the review). Now, he gets his 1st ever action figure in an Imperial Tank Driver disguise.

Migs has 17 POA, but he has the old ball socket hip joints, as this figure is kitbashed primarily with the Shoretrooper and Hovertank Driver. Getting him to fit in a tank is a pain in the @$$ so don't try doing that. He is neatly painted, and some early figures have an incorrectly painted right arm band. On mine it's red, but it's supposed to be green. Hasbro did fix this so later figures have the correct color. But the paint apps are clean, so it isn't sloppy looking. But the star is the head sculpt! It looks EXACTLY like Bill Burr!

There are only 2 accessories: a removable helmet which fits well over his head, but it does look a bit out of scale. He also comes with a blaster pistol which he can easily hold. When holstering his blaster put the scope outside the holster and it will not only perfectly slide in it will stay there! I probably should have shown him holding other weapons but he can hold a Stormtrooper rifle easily.


Now is he essential for your collection. Well, only if you want to take pictures of him and Mace Windu talking about beer. Migs is a Target exclusive so I had to get him to get the other Target exclusive Axe Woves so I could get free shipping on that order. He isn't essential but I doubt there will be another VC version so if you like Migs, or actor/comedian Bill Burr, you might want to do so, as like Koska he is on clearance.

1. Migs Mayfield unmasked. Surprisingly, I didn't have to lean him on the back of the display. He stands really well on his own.

4. Migs sitting down after downing a case of Samuel Jackson Beer. He has the ball socket hips so getting him to sit flat is kinda good. Putting him in a tank, not so much. His knees don't bend well enough to properly sit in a chair. 

5 & 6. Showing off his head articulation in the 5th picture, the barbell head joint allows better motion than the old ball joint. The 6th picture shows off the incredible head sculpt! Thanks for reading!
