Vintage Collection HasLab Proposals

 Since the last 2 Star Wars Black Series HasLabs have failed, I have a couple proposals on some ideas I believe would be successful. I think it's time to ditch the Black Series and stick with the Vintage Collection when it comes to HasLab's. I have 4 proposals that cover the OT and 1 in the  Prequel era.  These will be a combination of playsets and vehicles, in one instance. The rules are simple, 5,000 backers means it is funded, tiers are added to incentivize more purchases.

VINTAGE COLLECTION HASLAB PROPOSAL NUMBER ONE: THE SANDCRAWLER

As long as I can remember collectors have wanted a modern update of Kenner's Jawa Sandcrawler. Disney shop did one a few years ago, but what fans really want is one that has all the bells and whistles. This needs to be a massive vehicle, possibly larger than the AT-AT at least in height or close enough to that vehicle's height. Inside it needs the space where R2 and 3PO reunite and where the droid who watched over them stood. There needs to be a cockpit for Jawa's to drive this thing and some Jawa's for added security in case a droid makes a break for it. Outside there needs to be a ramp that lowers, lights, and yes a vacuum tube that can be lowered to suck R2 into the crawler.

What's included: before the tiers go, you have 5 Jawa's 2 to pilot and 2 to be like security guards and the chief Jawa.  You need the Jawa Droid, R5-D4, C-3PO (using the build a droid protocol droid body), R2-D2 (also using the build a droid body) and a Gonk Droid.

Tier 1 at 6,000 backers the Treadmill droid and the beat up protocol droid who's chilling in the background (CZ-1), R1-G4, and the minelaying droid.

Tier 2 at 7,500 backers a moisture vaporator, Owen Lars and Luke Skywalker. Owen could be a new head sculpt on the AOTC Owen, but Luke needs to be a brand new sculpt.

Tier 3 at 10,000 backers would be the outer hut to the Lars estate.

Cost to back: $600. Yes it's a lot but look at what you get, droids, Jawas, electronics and a definitive new sculpt of ANH Luke Skywalker. Plus Hasbro can repack the old Lars hut, or make a new one. Either way you can recreate the purchase of the droids scene with this.

VINTAGE COLLECTION HASLAB PROPOSAL: QUEEN AMIDALA'S STARSHIP & DARTH MAUL'S SPEEDER

Okay, here I'm getting greedy. It is a 2 for 1 HasLab. 2 vehicles in 1 offer. Queen Amidala's starship from TPM is the signature toy vehicle from The Phantom Menace. Darth Maul's Speeder is also one of the fun vehicles to own as well. But repacking the 1999 versions is just, well, not ideal. Some may prefer a Clone Wars era vehicle but I want something unexpected, but massive enough to re-enact a great scene from TPM. The ship needs the features of the 1999 version, including a newly designed escape ship, damaged hyperactive, with storage for another one,  Queen's Throne Room and also include room for a couple astromech droids, one of which is R2-D2, who should be included. Darth Maul needs a newly sculpted speeder, but remove the launching probe droid feature that the 1999 version had. Also included should be a brand new Darth Maul action figure to go with it. A neat feature of the 1999 speeder needs to be the open slot under the handlebar where Maul can store his lightsaber. Included in the Royal Starship will be Queen Amidala who can sit on her Throne, pilot Ric Olie, new sculpts for both Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon (who should come with his poncho), and a Naboo Royal Guard and R2-D2 with a chrome dome.

Tier 1 at 6,000 backers will be Anakin Skywalker, Jar Jar Binks, Sabe (Royal Decoy), and Captain Panaka

Tier 2 at 7,500 backers will be handmaidens Rabe and Eirtea, Tatooine Padme, R2-D1 and a replacement hyperdrive.

Tier 3 at 10,000 backers will be a Theed Invaision Padme (new sculpt) Boss Nass, Captain Tarpals and 2 Gungan Warriors.

So you'll have everything you need to help recreate a lot of scenes from TPM. The final cost will be high, I price this at $600 as well, assuming all 3 tiers are reached.


VINTAGE COLLECTION HASLAB PROPOSAL: SHUTTLE TYDIRIUM

I thought about a massive Death Star Playset, but instead will go for something a bit better, and a request of many collectors: Shuttle Tydirium! Needless to say this will be the least expensive one, but there will only be 2 tiers for this one, as characters are limited. To also serve as an Imperial shuttle for Palpy, keep an eye on my tier proposals.  But the basics are, the shuttle but with a cockpit big enough to hold Han, Chewie, Leia, Luke and pegs to stand R2 & 3PO plus have a large enough space to house 4-6 figures. Needless to say a Rebel Commando needs to be included in the shuttle and my choice is Nik Sant aka Rex. A kit bashed Han Solo to fly the ship would also be needed. As far as extra Rebel Commando's well that's what Troop Builder Packs are for! The cost will be $375.

Tier 1 is reached at 6,000 backers and includes 2 Imperial shuttle pilots, and 4 new Emperor's Royal Guards all with new head sculpts, so it isn't just the bearded guy. I don't know how popular an ERG Pack would be so including it here because I know a Rebel Commando Pack would sell a ton.

Tier 2 reached at 7,500 backers would get a battle damaged Darth Vader and Death Star Duel Luke Skywalker, with the funeral pyre to place Vader so you can recreate that amazing shot in ROTJ. The plastic flame effects can be raised by a lever on the side of the pyre.

Admittedly this doesn't seem much, but not only could this ship be used as Tydirium but also Vader's and the Emperor's shuttle.


VINTAGE COLLECTION HASLAB PROPOSAL: CHALMUN'S CANTINA


What is this? I know you may be asking. But this is better known as the Mos Eisley Cantina in A New Hope! Needless to say this would be a massive playset!! But the tiers, well, stay tuned! This set would have the walkway leading to a bar, with lots of stools. There is also 3 booths, and of course the table where Han blasts Greedo. As for the rest, keep reading! At a price of $500 you get the playset, plus a few figures: Wuher (the bartender), Ponda Baba, Dr Evazan, Greedo and Brea Tonnika! How's that?!

Tier 1 is reached at 6,000 backers with Brea's sister Senni Tonnika, Djas Phur, Kabe, Muftak and Myo (one eyed alien)

Tier 2 is reached at 8,000 backers with Ackmena (a Bea Arthur action figure!),  Chalmun (the Wookiee who owns the cantina), Saun Dann (Art Carney!). Had to show the Holiday Special some love!

Tier 3 is reached at 10,000 backers and is....the entire Modal Nodes band! It would be a stage which connects to the bar and there you have the entire band with all their instruments!

I have a feeling this would break a record for Star Wars HasLab's and would be one I'd back.
