Fan Canon

 Raise your hand if you've ever read a fan fiction for any property out there. Okay if you didn't raise a hand you are probably lying. Star Wars, Star Trek, Twilight, they all have fan fictions on the internet. There used to be some sites that were exclusively to one franchise or another but those have folded. But a simple online search can take you to the sites that have them. But this is a Star Wars blog, so I'll focus on Star Wars fan fiction sites.


Back in the late 1990's there were these sites called webrings where fans could share each other's fan fiction stories. The Luke Skywalker/Mara Jade webring was one such site where you could read many fan fics of Luke and Mara. There were Lando/Mara webrings, Han/Leia webrings and even Luke/Callista webrings. But over time those sites closed down and are now internet ghosts.

Also gone is the site Fanfix which had the single largest collections of Star Wars fan fiction. Any era you could imagine there was a story. Not all of the stories here were for readers of all age. If you wanted some adult themed stories, you could find them here. This site lasted quite a while but has been gone for over a decade. Now some fan sites have fan fiction sections. Clubjade.net still has their small, but good selections still up. Theforce.net has theirs up but you might want to search it using a search engine as you'll have a hard time navigating the sire to find it. Neither site has added new stories in years.

Now fanfiction.net is the largest home for Star Wars fan fiction. However navigating that main site is a mess. I would recommend using a search engine and type in "Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade fan fiction" or "Rey Skywalker and Kylo Ren fan fiction", or any other of your favorite Star Wars characters and then you'll be taken to a site that has them all collected for you to pick the characters in fan fiction you want to read. Some stories are...weird.  But sometimes you find one that has a good story idea but the writer can mess up dialog a bit. Maybe George Lucas wrote some of these. Anyway, if you're like me and don't like most of the new Disney stuff, or think Legends lost it's way during the New Jedi Order, or before then,  this type of site is for you. Think all the stories suck? You can always write your own!

  So I've finally gotten around to making my Top 25 for the SWTVC March Madness Tournament, and as a a reminder, the final day to get your Top 25 list is January 31st! SWTVC & SWS 2024 March Madness Tournament Begins

  Every year, the SWTVC on Instagram does a Vintage Collection version of March Madness. If you want to join in on the voting, I'll add the article from BanthaSkull which has the Google Form link in it. And due to my attendance at Fan Expo New Orleans, I don't have an article completely ready to go, so once again, I'll do my own March Madness event settled by, you guessed it, coin flips! I will also be participating in the SWTVC March Madness poll and will do my Top 25 on here, since I want everyone who reads this to participate in that. 2024 Last Figure Standing

  Once again, Last Figure Standing is back for 2024! The rules are simple, 10 figures in order of preference. And another reminder this is for the Vintage Collection, I don't know if there is anything similar for the Black Series but if there is I'll share it here. Also note this was written in late July, as after SDCC, I have a few changes from last year's list since some of those are being made, but I don't see any changes for when this will start. And I should point out that voting hasn't started yet, but I am simply getting a jump start as I just got the VC Jabba the Hutt yesterday, and don't have time for a review and comparison to the 2010 Legacy Collection Jabba ready to go.
