Random Thoughts June 5th thru June 12th

 Not much going on besides new episodes of Kenobi, but that will soon come to an end. I don't like dealing with rumors but there are a couple. The 1st is there will be a 2nd season. Haven't seen any episodes yet so I can't judge that. The other rumor is Reva could also get her own series. That would be interesting to see how the Inquisitors come to make the decisions they did. With the Grand Inquisitor and Trilla we got to see why they chose the path they did post Order 66. Is Reva a former Youngling? A series could show her origin and if the writing is consistent (a complaint about Kenobi I see a lot), then this show could be good.



Well the new VC Kenobi Darth Vader may be a brand new sculpt for Vader! He'll come with a plug in belt lightsaber hilt, lit lightsaber and 2 swappable hands. Now put this figure quickly on a ROTS or ROTJ card, while you can Hasbro!! (Before the plastic free packaging goes into effect) The upcoming Reva figure looks amazing, especially her break apart lightsaber from a single double bladed ringed lightsaber to 2 D-ring lightsabers.






VC love out of the way. Last week I told you all about the Retro Kenobi Wave. Well good news is Darth Vader isn't a repack! It took 40 years but there is a new Kenner style Vader with a cloth cape and removable lightsaber. The Retro Obi-Wan will also be the 1st Kenner style figure with a removable lightsaber. Seeing the other Inquisitors in this line gives me hope they will one day be in the VC within the next calendar year. The cards will look the same on the VC, minus the weathering. The best part of the Retro Collection is the lower price of the figures, you don't feel you're forking over a car or cable bill payment when you preorder.

Speaking of preorders, Target has the VC Axe Woves figure back up for preorder. It had Koska Reeves as well but wouldn't allow me to order it after putting her in the cart. Well, I got Axe, Migs Mayfield and a Darktrooper coming one day. When VC Mandalorian Luke comes up I'll add another Darktrooper because he needs at least 2 to chop up. Plus the interlocking figure base looks neat. So if you're looking for those figures don't go eBay for them just yet! Although for Koska you might have to.

My SWTVC March Madness Top 25

2024 Last Figure Standing

  Once again, Last Figure Standing is back for 2024! The rules are simple, 10 figures in order of preference. And another reminder this is for the Vintage Collection, I don't know if there is anything similar for the Black Series but if there is I'll share it here. Also note this was written in late July, as after SDCC, I have a few changes from last year's list since some of those are being made, but I don't see any changes for when this will start. And I should point out that voting hasn't started yet, but I am simply getting a jump start as I just got the VC Jabba the Hutt yesterday, and don't have time for a review and comparison to the 2010 Legacy Collection Jabba ready to go.
