Random Thoughts May 2nd Through May 8th

 Welcome to another Sunday, and it's also Mother's Day in the US, so please wish your Mother a Happy Mother's Day! Some big news this week, but other than that it has been a slow week. Which is good for me, but more on that a little later. 


The 1st issue of the Marvel Obi-Wan miniseries is out and is selling well at least at my local comic shops as they quickly sold out. Guess who decided to wait to go get it? Yep. This guy. So I'll have to wait before reviewing it! Also I will have a blog post on how to save the Star Wars comics in the near future. From all accounts this miniseries isn't subject to the current story messes going on. Plus this covers an era that Disney has yet to cover in depth as we see a very young Obi-Wan getting into some sort of trouble or adventure. Like I said, it's sold out so I'm guessing. 


On May The 4th Hasbro did a product live stream. No pipeline VC reveals but the Black Series will also soon be getting Mando Luke Skywalker, although if you've seen the SH Figuarts Mando Luke, well, Hasbro had a lot to live up to there. Not much got revealed but keep in mind that Celebration Anaheim is a few weeks away and there will be some big reveals made there! VC got a new Mandalorian from the Ckone Wars era, Gaming Greats Stormtroopers from Jedi Fallen Order & The Force Unleashed as well as finally showing off the new Padawan Anakin Skywalker who will thankfully come with a swappable robotic hand, a new head sculpt and a repaint of the 2014 3.75 Black Series Anakin. No word yet on AOTC versions of Factory Chase Padme or Dooku for the VC. New role play items include Vader's helmet and Obi-Wan's lightsaber which will have new battle programmed sounds which all Black Series lightsabers will have going forward, including tandem battle abilities! Just don't crash the blades together too hard, okay!?

My SWTVC March Madness Top 25

  So I've finally gotten around to making my Top 25 for the SWTVC March Madness Tournament, and as a a reminder, the final day to get your Top 25 list is January 31st! When making your list, 1 is the most desired, with 25 being the least desired. So here is my list, with an explanation why they're ranked at their position.  Finally posting this fan fiction! It's my retelling of the Book Of Boba Fett Finale, and instead of the 1st 2 chapters, I'm publishing the 1st 4! 2024 Last Figure Standing

  Once again, Last Figure Standing is back for 2024! The rules are simple, 10 figures in order of preference. And another reminder this is for the Vintage Collection, I don't know if there is anything similar for the Black Series but if there is I'll share it here. Also note this was written in late July, as after SDCC, I have a few changes from last year's list since some of those are being made, but I don't see any changes for when this will start. And I should point out that voting hasn't started yet, but I am simply getting a jump start as I just got the VC Jabba the Hutt yesterday, and don't have time for a review and comparison to the 2010 Legacy Collection Jabba ready to go. Now, not all of these figures will be new sculpts, and of course I have just about all eras of Star Wars represented in this list. 10. Rey (Episode 8 Throne Room Duel).
