Custom Super Articulated 3.75 inch Throne Room Duel Rey

I don't always buy from eBay sellers, however if you do make sure they have a 99-100% rating. I have bought from a couple people who make custom figures, and while I paid a fair price for them, I have had mixed results. One figure was okay, and held up. The other one, well, didn't hold up well. Not the creators fault. It had fallen from my display and was a bit more fragile than I initially thought. But buying customs is a great way to get characters you want if you can't make your own.

If you know me, I don't like Episode 8 at all. It put me into a depression as Star Wars movies didn't thrill me anymore. Well the new ones. I learned to appreciate the older ones, that won't change. But as far as the character Rey goes, this was her best look. While we got a super articulated 3.75 inch action figure of her from Episode 7. Sadly for Episode 8 all we got was a 5 POA version of her. In my humble opinion, I really like this look for Rey. I had hoped she would show up in the Vintage Collection but that has yet to happen. I have the 6 inch Black Series version, and it's nice. But I wanted her in the VC. So the only place to turn was Scalper Bay. I mean eBay.

I have followed the work of SW Kustoms Figures, who makes super articulated 3.75 inch figures, most of which started out as 5 POA figures, like Rey from Episode 8. He's also made SA figures from Rebels, as well as the entire Knights of Ren! So seeing that he had a perfect seller rating, and I could afford it, I bought an Episode 8 Rey. As he says in his description it takes 2 weeks to make the figure. After that it ships. And might I add it arrived in safe, secure packaging with no damage done during shipping. It looks exactly like it did in the photos. She has ball joint shoulders, knees and elbows. The waist doesn't move but that isn't important. Her arms and legs can move and that's good enough for me. She comes with the Skywalker lightsaber, a blaster which perfectly fits in her holster, and a something I didn't know but a custom made display stand with her name on it. The stand comes from a Return of the Jedi figure, but has her name neatly printed on the name plate. Well done!

I wouldn't recommend rough play with any custom made figure, but this figure looks like it could handle that. But still I would recommend display only but light play is possible. Just don't over do it. She can hold her accessories, but the included lightsaber is tough to hold. But I have plenty she can hold so it isn't a deal breaker. Am I glad I bought this, yes! Like I said it isn't made yet for the VC, and this is the most toyetic Rey in the sequel era. But remember to use common sense, stick with what you can afford. This figure was a little more than what I would be comfortable paying, but I think it was worth it. Check out SW Kustoms on eBay!
