Rebels HasLab Proposal (VC)

Hasbro, hey! How's it going? While I know the Rancor HasLab didn't meet your expectations, I have an idea for your next project. No, it's not for the Black Series but the Vintage Collection. For a couple characters, you already have good enough molds to make these figures. For some, yes, new sculpts would need to be made. But the time to move is now, as this show turns 10 in a little over 3 years (Dec 2021 is when this is written). Hasbro, we need the Ghost crew in the Vintage Collection! And not just the crew, but the villains as well! Now, this will cover the characters as they appear in all 4 seasons of the show. Zeb and Hera, as well as Chopper do not change their looks very much, so they would only get one figure, as would Kanan who will come with 4 different heads. Ezra gets 2 figures, Sabine would get 4. Here's how it should break down: 1. Hera Syndulla: with blaster 2. Chopper-use the Droid Depot version 3. Zeb-would have to be a brand new sculpt 4. Sabine Wren (season 1): use the Bo Katan body, with new head sculpt. 5. Season 2 Sabine 6. Season 3 Sabine: with jetpack 7. Season 4 Sabine: her look is mostly the same from Season 3, so this could get dropped. 8. Kanan: new sculpt, comes with Season 1&2 heads, wounded from Season 2 finale, his bearded head with visor and his head from Jedi Night. 9. Ezra: new sculpt, from the 1st 2 seasons. Plus I liked his lightsaber better than his 2nd one! 10. Ezra (Seasons 3&4): New sculpt. 11. Captain Rex: add knee, elbow and ankle articulation to the 3 75 POA sculpt. Use a new head sculpt. 12. Ahsoka: paint the CW Ahsoka in her Rebels colors, add a new head sculpt or use the one coming up from her Mandalorian version. 13. Kallus: as a Rebel, new sculpt or a kitbash. 14. Hondo: I have a soft spot for him. 15. Saw Gerrara: new sculpt but could be used to make a Rogue One version of him. Villains: 1. Agent Kallus: kitbash with Moff Gideon and AT-AT Commander 2. Grand Inquisitor: new sculpt, or a kit bash with Gideon. 3. Fifth Brother: New sculpt 4. Seventh Sister: new head sculpt with removable face mask. Possible re-use of Zorri Bliss body sculpt. 5. Governor Pryce: use the body of Deena Shan in Imperial Officers uniform, new head sculpt. 6. Azmorigan: new sculpt. Not technically a villain, but I needed him to add extra baddies. 7. Imperial Pilot (AT-SP, Transport, Speeder Bike): new or kibosh figure. Saw these guys in almost every episode. 8. Brom Titus: this arrogant Imperial officer narrowly beats Lt. List, but would be the basis for a new Imperial officer body sculpt. 9. Rukh: new sculpt. Fans have wanted this for years! 10. Grand Admiral Thrawn: preferably a new sculpt head to toe, or at least a new head sculpt. He was the only one who was a main villain more than one season. So that is 25 Vintage Collection figures. All would come in Rebels Kenner style cards. But the HasLab has tiers, and some enticement may be needed. So here is Tier 1: Lando Calrissian Leia Organa Both grabbed the spotlight in an episode, and Lando came back via hologram later on. Both would need to be new sculpts. Tier 2: Cikatro Vizago Vizago's Droid The droid can be from the 5 POA line, Vizago could be a new or kitbashed sculpt, save for the new head sculpt. Tier 3: Ryder Azati Gall Trayvis Lothal's former governor, Ryder would be an all new sculpt, but make sure he comes with a removable hat! Imperial Senator/Intelligence operative Gall Trayvis should come with a cloth robe and a blaster. Either or both could be kit bashed or new sculpts. Tier 4: Maul Eighth Brother This could be an earlier tier goal, but this could cause many to just go all in on this should it ever come up. Maul could be a kitbashed, while the Eighth Brother would have to be an all new sculpt. Now comes the painful part: the price. For 33 VC figures (assuming all 4 tiers get funded, new sculpts put into price of project) that comes to $461.67 at $13.99 per figure. Add in the bonus accessories and this comes out to a rounded up number of $500. Yes, that's a LOT of money! However, these figures will all likely NEVER see wide retail release, and while there are many fans who enjoy Rebels and would like 3.75 inch counterparts to their 6 inch Black Series figures, this is the only way it could happen. But this could fund since hard core collectors would at least buy 2, one set to open, one to keep on cards. Hasbro, the VC is perfect for HasLab, and this would be a home run and a great way to ring in the 10th anniversary of Star Wars Rebels!
