Maul (Mandalore)
Ever since he appeared in the teaser trailer for The Phantom Menace, Star Wars fans knew they needed Darth Maul action figures in their collection. Same with his 1st appearance in the movie as a hologram. This Sith Lord would be different. But, he met his end via Obi-Wan Kenobi. That is until Season 5 of the Clone Wars. No longer a Darth, he is just now Maul.
Maul is depicted from his Season 7 appearance in The Clone Wars from the series final 4 episodes. Hasbro opted for a realistic style head sculpt and not an animated version (same with Ahsoka). He has 17 POA, wonderfully sculpted and has clean paint apps. So the perfect figure? Nope. Having opened 2 figures, I have found both figures have the same problem: the right hip is way too tight. While it is possible to place Maul in an action pose, it is hard to do. My suggestion if you buy and open this is to place him in just boiled water for about a minute and he should be fine. You also shouldn't have to do this, but sometimes quality control slips. However this is a definitive Clone Wars Maul, who may one day get repainted for the season 5 Clone Wars Mandalore arc. If you're a Maul fan, it's a buy. But keep it carded.
