Greedo/Walrus Man Kenner Reviews

Now I cover 2 of my favorite figures that sadly, I never owned! While one figure is a named character on film, the other is named by Kenner, as it wouldn't be until West End Games in 1987 gave Walrus Man a name: Ponda Baba. So today, it's Greedo and Walrus Man getting a quick review.


Greedo has IMO, the BEST head sculpt in the Kenner era. It looks spot on! Sadly, Kenner didn't sculpt the outfit he wore onscreen. However back then there was this thing called imagination which meant this could be Greedo,nor another alien from his species who wore a similar colored outfit (squint your eyes and go frame by frame in the 1977 version and you'll notice him). He comes packed with Han Solo style blaster, and is one figure I wish I had.

Walrus Man has a good head sculpt. Also the outfit he wears is a Kenner original as they didn't have a lot of photos on this character. Many fans assume this is Ponda Baba, and he may be but he was never confirmed to be. He has a good head sculpt, and comes with a Stormtrooper blaster. Using your imagination, he could be the one Ben Kenobi disarmed, or he could be another Cantina patron. Either way, he is a cool looking figure, even though his "fashion" seems dated in 2021

My SWTVC March Madness Top 25

  So I've finally gotten around to making my Top 25 for the SWTVC March Madness Tournament, and as a a reminder, the final day to get your Top 25 list is January 31st! SWTVC & SWS 2024 March Madness Tournament Begins

  Every year, the SWTVC on Instagram does a Vintage Collection version of March Madness. If you want to join in on the voting, I'll add the article from BanthaSkull which has the Google Form link in it. And due to my attendance at Fan Expo New Orleans, I don't have an article completely ready to go, so once again, I'll do my own March Madness event settled by, you guessed it, coin flips! 2024 Last Figure Standing

  Once again, Last Figure Standing is back for 2024! The rules are simple, 10 figures in order of preference. And another reminder this is for the Vintage Collection, I don't know if there is anything similar for the Black Series but if there is I'll share it here. Also note this was written in late July, as after SDCC, I have a few changes from last year's list since some of those are being made, but I don't see any changes for when this will start. And I should point out that voting hasn't started yet, but I am simply getting a jump start as I just got the VC Jabba the Hutt yesterday, and don't have time for a review and comparison to the 2010 Legacy Collection Jabba ready to go.
