Most Wanted Clone Wars VC Figures
With Rex, Echo, Jesse and Wolffe getting VC figures, and the animated versions of Anakin & Obi-Wan getting repacked last year, the Clone Wars is getting some much needed love. Coming soon are Ahsoka and Maul from the final season, and sporting a look that combines animated and realistic in a neat way. The 2D Clone Wars figures are realistic figures getting painted in animated colors. A separate list for the 2D Clone Wars figures will be a future blog post. This will be from the Clone Wars series which debuted in 2008.
1. Savage Oppress. He's Maul's brother, plus he takes part in one of the most epic lightsaber battles ever, teaming with his brother to fight Darth Sidious.
2. Asajj Ventress. She's the main villain, although she is redeemed. She should be in her blue outfit, and the skirt removable to recreate her rescue of Nute Gunray.
3. Pre Vizla. Voiced by Jon Favreau, he played a big part in the return of Darth Maul. Plus he had the Darksaber. Use the new Boba Fett sculpt and have a swappable unhelmeted head.
4. Bo Katan. We're getting her, but not as she appeared in Clone Wars. Use the same buck, but alter the head sculpt to look younger.
5. Mace Windu. Repack the Black Series one, update the head sculpt and to recreate Boba Fett's trap, give him Jango Fett's exploding helmet!
6. Jar Jar Binks. "What?!" You may be asking. Well, I like Jar Jar. But one of the best episodes was when he disguised himself as a "Bombad Jedi", so give him a Jedi robe. Plus with Mace you can recreate the 3 episode arc from Season 6 they starred in!
7. Phase 2 Clonetrooper. We got Phase 1 already, but why not the Phase 2 on a Clone Wars card?!
8. Pong Krell. The same species as Dex from AOTC, this 4 armed Jedi who flirted with the dark side was killed by Rex and the 501st for his reckless actions. He'd be a deluxe figure, but is a top selection for fan's choice polls.
9. Padme Amidala (red vest outfit). Padme was in her all white uniform, but her 2nd Clone Wars figure had a more military feel. It's one of my favorite Padme figures but needs a more realistic touch.
10. Satine Kryze. The love of Obi-Wan's life deserves an action figure. I wouldn't mind either a formal appearance or if she's in her more battle ready outfit. Any version will do!
11. Mandalorian Warrior. Use the Boba Fett buck, and add a holster. This could be a troop builder, like the Clonetroopers.
12. Cad Bane. Saving the best for last, he's the Boba Fett of the Clone Wars. He needs his blaster pistols, and his large cowboy hat. Another popular selection in fan's choice polls.
