Most Wanted VC OT Figures Part 1
When it comes to Star Wars toys, the OT is where it's at. They sell. A lot. But while a lot has been made, there is still more to go. One day, Hasbro will (maybe) finish off the original Kenner 96. Some of these are original 96, others were not offered originally. For the record, these figures are from the original 3 films, and comics that take place in this time. Also, these figures have yet to be in the modern Vintage Collection.
1. C-3P0 with removable limbs. One we need for the old 96, but a Black Series version was done as an exclusive. Just make sure he has a pack that Chewie can carry!
2. Hammerhead. My favorite Cantina alien. Hasbro made a decent buck back in the Saga Legends for the Clone Wars micro series Jedi of his species and it could be used here.
3. General Veers. He's the only competent officer Vader has. Plus he was the image on the Imperial Officer card in the Kenner days.
4. Tonnika Sisters. They have been requested for years, and are the 2 women who react to Luke asking the droids to leave the Mos Eisley Cantina.
5. Ben Kenobi. Only in the VOTC did we get Ben. Use the Legacy buck, but the head sculpt from the 5 POA Ben, and a new right hand and shorten the outer robe.
6. Sana Starros. Who?! She's in the comics and was Han Solo's "wife" for a smuggling job. She's also rubbed elbows with Lando and is a former and possibly current girlfriend of Dr Aphra.
7. Tessek (Squid Head) Hasbro has an excellent Quarran buck from the Legacy Collection, throw on a robe and he's all set!
8. Mon Mothma. I like leader figures. Heck, even on a Rogue One card I wouldn't be upset. But if on a ROTJ card she'd likely be part of a Home One playset.
9. General Madine. Playset pack in most likely, or a retail exclusive. The Kenner version pegwarmed, so like Mon Mothma makes sense as a pack in.
10. Bossk. He's a bounty hunter, and was in Vader's briefing in ESB. Repack the SA Saga Collection version on that cool looking Kenner card.
11. Sim Aloo. Who? He got a figure in the 1980's as the Imperial Dignatary.
12. Karben. From the Vader comics, series 1. All he needs is a Mon Calamari head on General Grievous's body.
13. Chief Chirpa. The Boss Ewok! Plus we haven't had a super articulated version, just a 5 POA from 2006.
Much more to come!
