VC Top 25 in 2025: Numbers 10 & 9
A change-up for the next few days. I'm doing 2 figures for today and for Tuesday. Monday marks the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith and I have a special post for that day. Next Sunday the top 2 figures will be revealed!
MY 10th RANKED FIGURE:
DELUXE BOBA FETT (TATTOINE)

WHY I LIKE THIS FIGURE: For starters, he feels like a deluxe figure. The extras almost feel like it's worth the extra price. The rocket firing jetpack, the flame effects, Stormtrooper helmets that can actually fit on Stormtrooper figures...plus his normal blaster and pistol (which actually stays in the holster). While he has a removable helmet, it actually looks better than other figures that had removable helmets. Looking at you both Axe Woves and Sabine Wren. The head sculpt is near perfect, and the figure's articulation is smooth and flawless. It's a figure I enjoy playing around with, and is my absolute favorite Boba Fett figure. Like Darth Vader, any chance to get a Boba Fett figure I'll jump at the chance to do so.
INTERESTING FACT: The Boba Fett tax has been in effect since 1978-79:
WHY HE'S RANKED 10th:
I took some points off for being deluxe. But, it isn't his fault. If this was a standard carded figure with just his jetpack, helmet and blasters he'd be in the Top 5. What baffles me is this is Boba's signature look in Book Of Boba Fett, and he hasn't gotten a standard card yet. It's like putting the signature Han Solo from the Solo toyline with the updated Force Link player that didn't work. Make it make sense. Anyway, it's Boba Fett, he's cool and this figure is amazing. But needs to be on a single card.
COLLECTOR'S CHOICE 10th RANKED FIGURE:
VC 318 KANAN JARRUS
Photo from BanthaSkull
WHY I THINK COLLECTORS LIKE THIS FIGURE:
For me, this was the best figure of 2024. But, the articulation, sculpt, paint apps...they're all there. This figure perfectly represents Kanan up to the Season 2 finale when he's blinded by Maul on Malachor. The HasLab Kanan figure perfectly shows Kanan as he was in Season 3 and up until his last appearance in the S4 episode Jedi Night. He's become a fan favorite over the years, and Hasbro delivered on this figure in every way possible. He also sets the new standard that collectors expect from a Jedi action figure.
WHY HE'S RANKED 10th: The only thing I complained about this figure was the tiny lightsaber. But there really isn't anything to complain about. He's an outstanding figure in every aspect, but as a character he's not as popular as Obi-Wan or Luke.
INTERESTING FACTS: The HasLab Kanan did get some votes, just not enough to make the Top 25. I have Kanan ranked as well in my Countdown list. Stay tuned!
MY 9th RANKED FIGURE:
VC 226 BO KATAN
Photo from BanthaSkull
WHY I LIKE THIS FIGURE: Mandalorian figures are next to Jedi the figures I like the most. Just as female Jedi like Adi Gallia from The Phantom Menace, and Aayla Secura from Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith are some of my favorite female Jedi figures, Bo Katan is the 1st female Mandalorian in the VC, and is therefore special to me. She has a swappable helmeted head that isn't difficult at all to switch up, plus blaster pistols that fit in her holsters. But the head sculpt is amazing. Even Bo Katan actress Katee Sackhoff said she liked it (look it up on YouTube). Bo set a new standard for the Vintage Collection as from this point on, barbell hips became the new standard for articulation in the Vintage Collection.
WHY SHE'S RANKED 9th: In the BanthaSkull comments section when this figure was reviewed, ShipGirlLover commented that Bo Katan had, and I loosely quote "the bet @$$ in the Vintage Collection". At the time, yep. Bo is a standard setter thanks to her articulation. Her buck is the one used for Koska Reeves and for all versions of Sabine Wren. While some would say this is "stale", it's amazing what paint can do. And some slight changes made to the other figures to make it look different. Bo has been a fan favorite since her debut in the animated Clone Wars. Ironically, Bo didn't get a 3.75 figure until this one as she was one of the few Clone Wars characters who didn't get a figure in the animated line.
INTERESTING FACT: This isn't the only time I'll mention a figure's badonkadonk.
COLLECTOR'S CHOICE 9th RANKED FIGURE:
VC 300 HERA SYNDULLA
WHY I THINK COLLECTORS LIKE THIS FIGURE:
Before I begin, I didn't count on a theme for this double sized post. Kanan and Hera are a couple, and the only couple in the Collector's Choice Countdown. And the 9th ranked figures in both Countdowns having great badonkadonks is just random luck. With that being said, Hera is an amazing figure. It's always risky when taking an animated character and making them live action, while staying true to the animated look. Hera succeeded here. The Grand Inquisitor, didn't based on the animated standard. Hera has excellent articulation, and her blaster can stay in the holster without falling out. The card looks good, and if you display her loose she doesn't need a stand. Plus if you have The Ghost she can fit in the pilot seat. But let's face it, it's the badonkadonk. Guys like badonkadonks.
INTERESTING FACT: EE canceled my Hera preorder. So I found mine at Wally World, same with Pre Vizsla, who was also canceled by EE. Fortunately I got these figures before EE canceled them.
WHY SHE'S RANKED 9th: Without mentioning the badonkadonk, she's a solid figure. A Brickhouse. She's mighty, mighty. All jokes aside, her face sculpt, and being able to perfectly show how much this figure captures the look and feel of Hera from the Ahoska series. Great accessory interaction, smooth articulation, excellent paint apps, Hera has it all. The effort in sculpt and paint is nice to see here, and it would be nice to see this effort put forth into main characters.
Thanks for reading!
