Luke Skywalker Epic Hero Series Review

Image
As I've mentioned before, Hasbro has a new kid-friendly 5 POA line, named Epic Hero Series, and it is loosely based off of the Marvel 9 POA figures. Also, I mentioned Luke and possibly Vader and Ahsoka as the only figures I'd consider buying, but as you'll see in the pictures, I won't need Vader after all! My thoughts on the figure, plus custom options will be fairly offered. How did I acquire this, well let's just say I was $10 away from free shipping, and got things I needed without paying the fee. The basics, he has 5 POA, and in the comparisons with the older 5 POA figures, Luke fits in quite well, aside from the oversized head. More on that a little later. Luke comes with only his ignited (and as a bonus the hilt is actually painted, unlike the Vader figure in this line) and a backpack to carry the Grogu figure from this line. The overall sculpt is good, although I prefer 5 POA figures to all have the straight arms and legs, this figures arms are bent in a wa...

Another Random Blog Post

Image
I debated whether or not to do a blog post this week. My post last week was Shadowbanned on social media, and honestly I was worn out, and didn't feel like tagging friends to get views. It's also Super Bowl Sunday, and I know views will be down since nobody wants to do heavy reading, unless they don't like American football, a shout out to my favorite person in New Zealand, Jason, aka Middle Aged Kiwi Man Collecting Star Wars Figures (check out his YouTube channel and subscribe!). But since I have a wedding to attend next weekend, I didn't want to go two weeks without a blog entry. So, it's time for another random blog post about random Star Wars takes. MY FINAL STAR WARS PHYSICAL MEDIA PURCHASE? Yep, you read that right. I am currently watching the 1st 2 seasons of The Mandalorian on Blu Ray, and it's safe to say it's the best live action Star Wars Disney has done. But, I doubt I'll expand my physical media beyond this, unless I get a 4K TV and a 4K ...

Darth Revan VC Review

Image
Let's go back to 2018, the VC had returned after a 6 year absence, and Hasbro planned Darth Revan as VC 150. But, there was a catch. It was going to be the 2007 Darth Revan that at the time was hard to find and going for triple digits on eBay. Collectors, led by sites like Jedi Temple Archives & BanthaSkull complained the loudest, and Hasbro relented. So Revan was put to rest, while the Black Series got an incredible Revan in the 6 inch line. So in late 2023, Hasbro released a new Revan, VC 301. How does it compare to the Black Series one? Check out the picture below! Revan sports the typical 17 POA that modern VC figures have, and of course the new barbell hips. However, as with the Sixer version, the cloth skirt inhibits movement so cool action poses are difficult to do, and I don't recommend trimming the skirt or the plastic above it. Another area of limited articulation is the elbows, which you can bend up to a 90 degree angle. On the lovely Rey figure from Episode 9,...
