Hasbro Live Stream Recap

Hasbro Pulse hosted a Star Wars live stream this past Wednesday and while the Vintage Collection had the most new products announced in both mainline and pipeline releases, the Black Series got some good announcements as well! So what is coming up, and what have I pre-ordered already? You'll see it here as I will be adding lots of pictures in this post, so buckle up and let's get started!

Black Series

Kicking off the Black Series is the announcement of Saw Gerrara from Rogue One, who will be a deluxe figure due to his size and accessories, such as his breath mask and staff. This is a brand new sculpt also, so score one for the Black Series!

The Comic Book figures return and cover Disney Canon and Legends/Infinities. First up is Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker in his all white armor from ROTJ Infinities. Based off this picture it looks like Hasbro has trimmed the cape length, which was a complaint I had about the most recent Vader who was part of ESB's 40th anniversary line. This is a repaint of that Vader figure (ESB Vader).

From the comics Sgt Kreel was a Stormtrooper who would face Luke Skywalker in a lightsaber duel, and would win! Kreel has some new armor sculpts a pauldron, blaster rifle and green bladed lightsaber. I expect this one to be the top seller of the 3 that was announced. His fate in the comics has not been revealed but he would be a good adversary for Luke post Endor. I doubt he wins the rematch!

Finally, Leia Organa gets a figure in the outfit she wore in her miniseries and in the 2015 comic book series. It looks like Hoth Leia with new gloves, boots and an updated Endor Leia head sculpt, but this time with longer hair. She comes with her target pistol plus a blaster rifle.

Not pictured is the Black Series role play helmet for X-Wing pilot Trapper Wolfe (Dave Filoni). It should be at all retailers and will have dialog from his appearance in the Mandalorian.

Coming to Gaming Greats is RC-1207 (Sev) from Republic: Commando. Catch him at Gamestop! Picture not included.

Coming soon will be Grogu with his pram and all accessories, hopefully he is made a bit taller as his VC & Black Series figure are almost the same size. Migs Mayfield in his Season 1 gear will also be coming soon to the Black Series!

Vintage Collection

The VC is getting into Gaming Greats, as Shae Vizla from Old Republic gets repacked with a brand new head sculpt! You can see her in the group shot.This is one of the hardest to find, and most requested VC repack from the 1st VC run. Lando Calrissian from Battlefront 2 comes in an outfit similar to the one he lost the Millennium Falcon to Han in at the end of Solo. Not a bad figure as it's a repaint of the Solo Lando Calrissian.

Figrin D'an is the leader of the Modal Nodes, the Cantina Band seen in ANH. He will come packed with 3 instruments, and Hasbro says they will release the other band members at a later date, possibly (I'm speculating) as a multipack like the troop builders or as part of a playset but it won't be on single cards.

We get 2 Mandalorian figures, one is the Super Mandalorian Commando Captain (Possibly Gar Saxon, but he has the Maul horns on his helmet aka Mauldalorian) and the Death Watch Airborne Trooper. Both are from Clone Wars, and could serve as possible troop builders. But neither character has an official name on their name pills, so I am speculating on the Mauldalorian.

ARC Trooper Jesse is the last figure from the SDCC exclusive 3 pack to get a single card release, and many collectors feel he is the superior figure from that pack. Echo made my Top 10 VC figures at 2nd place. This figure is said to be better!

The Deathtrooper will get a battle pack with a squad leader and 3 basic figures. They appear to be based off their original sculpt, I will not post their picture as I want to post the others.

Target gets a Retro Prototype Chewbacca to match Vader, Boba Fett and the Stormtrooper. Personally I'm no fan, but it is kinda neat and does resemble prototypes made from that era.

The pipeline reveals are all based off The Mandalorian with one figure being one of the most requested since his appearance and for once it beats the Black Series in getting a figure first: Jedi Luke Skywalker! No pictures of what the figure will look like, but he is joined by the Klatoonian Raider, Artillery Stormtrooper, and a Deluxe Darktrooper which would be too big for a single card anyway.
