I Am Your Father Fan Fest Wrap Up!

If you are a Star Wars collector, yesterday was a GREAT day! If your preference is Mission Fleet, Black Series, or Vintage Collection you were smiling. I'll quickly touch on all properties plus post a link where you can see pictures of ALL the reveals.

Mission Fleet. The kid friendly line Hasbro has been trying to have success in has been a surprise hit! Bo Katan comes with her Gauntlet Fighter was the highlight, as was Moff Gideon's folding wing TIE Fighter.  This line is the best chance at getting new and affordable vehicles making it also appeal to collectors.

Black Series. Last year, it was completing the crew of The Ghost. Now, it's about finishing the Rogue One crew. Jyn, Cassian (only available as an exclusive), Baze & Chirrut get photo real updates plus we finally get Bodhi Rook! K-2SO also is back, with the correct eye color thus time. Coming as Target exclusives are Galen Erso and Anton Merric. Also back is ANH Leia, Darth Revan (Sith) and a 501st Clonetrooper. The pipeline reveals promise Bib Fortuna, Fennic Shand, Boba Fett (Mando and Book of Boba Fett), Cobb Vanth and ROTJ Bib Fortuna. Also, this year's HasLab project will be something to do with Black Series, and I believe it will be a playset. Boba's throne room would be my guess, or a Death Star throne room as ROTJ nears it's 40th anniversary.  It's all speculation at this point.

Now for the Vintage Collection. For me, this is the highlight of the day. The Hoth Rebel Soldier is a straight repack, and one fans have demanded. The Old Republic Trooper that won the Fan's Choice poll is on preorder today on Hasbro Pulse. But the new reveals!! Plus they are all from The Mandalorian! Getting a first time figure is The Mythrol, seen in both seasons of The Mandalorian, and a perfect addition to upcoming HasLab VC Razor Crest ship! Next is Kuiil. He's been long requested, and will come with a couple accessories. I have spoken! Finally we get Bo Katan (one of my favorite 6 inch figures) for the 1st time in the one true scale! She has a swappable helmeted head to go with her normal head, and the likeness to Katee Sackoff is outstanding! Plus coming in the pipeline is a Cantina playset from The Mandalorian (probably a repacked figure but hopefully a new one comes with it), a ROTJ Bib Fortuna and one figure I've requested for years: Lobot! Now some Ughnaughts and Bespin Guards please!

My SWTVC March Madness Top 25

  So I've finally gotten around to making my Top 25 for the SWTVC March Madness Tournament, and as a a reminder, the final day to get your Top 25 list is January 31st! SWTVC & SWS 2024 March Madness Tournament Begins

  Every year, the SWTVC on Instagram does a Vintage Collection version of March Madness. If you want to join in on the voting, I'll add the article from BanthaSkull which has the Google Form link in it. And due to my attendance at Fan Expo New Orleans, I don't have an article completely ready to go, so once again, I'll do my own March Madness event settled by, you guessed it, coin flips! I will also be participating in the SWTVC March Madness poll and will do my Top 25 on here, since I want everyone who reads this to participate in that. 2024 Last Figure Standing

  Once again, Last Figure Standing is back for 2024! The rules are simple, 10 figures in order of preference. And another reminder this is for the Vintage Collection, I don't know if there is anything similar for the Black Series but if there is I'll share it here. Also note this was written in late July, as after SDCC, I have a few changes from last year's list since some of those are being made, but I don't see any changes for when this will start. And I should point out that voting hasn't started yet, but I am simply getting a jump start as I just got the VC Jabba the Hutt yesterday, and don't have time for a review and comparison to the 2010 Legacy Collection Jabba ready to go.
