I'm going to take some heat for this, but I really don't care. The Epic World of Action Darktrooper is a good figure. Now, compared to the Vintage Collection Darktrooper, just on articulation alone, the VC version wins. But the simple 9 POA EWOA Darktrooper is better in some details. And for the price (under $10) it's cheaper to troop build these guys. So, how do they compare to the Vintage Collection version, and where does the EWOA have the advantage over the VC version? I'm going to tell you, and let you see for yourself.  The EWOA Darktrooper has only 9 POA. The VC version has the standard 17 POA. The head, arms, legs elbows and knees have articulation. As an added feature, the EWOA Darktrooper has barbell hips, something the VC Darktrooper doesn't have. Now since his wrists have no articulation, he can't do a THWG. To be fair, it's difficult to get the VC version to do that, but it is possible. He has a great range of motion for having swivel joints ...

 Honestly, I don't like to do multiple blog posts in a week. Sure, it was fun with the VC Top 25 in 2025. But, it wore me out. But then I read articles on websites and get gems like this in the comments section in one of them:  Yeah. So these 2 "experts" have made their points known. Okay. I've seen similar comments on another fan site, but these 2 stood out the most. Another commentator on the same site had a even headed assessment:  I had go black out the screenshots because I didn't ask their permission to use them. While this commentor makes a sane point, this isn't 2013 anymore. Wages of workers has gone up, the demand for plastics has gone up, tariffs are a thing now, and the action figure industry hasn't been the same since Covid hit the world. Also, there's no longer a Toys R Us, where something like this could be sold at. And no brick and mortar retailer would want a large Hasbro vehicle, how many Target stores actually had the Smugglers Run M...

 Today is the final day of the annual San Diego Comic Con, which is THE Comic Con of all Comic Con's. From comics, to entertainment, and of course toys. Lots of toys. And while this is a Star Wars themed blog, I'm going to cover some other toy lines as well, including the return of a vintage science fiction franchise to the world of 3.75 inch figures once again! I'll cover a bit of Masters of the Universe, a GI Joe figure I thought I'd never see, and some DC and Marvel figures. Of course I'll be reviewing Star Wars figures, and the new VC HasLab: the Republic Gunship!  Before I begin, none of the photos are mine.
